We've been out in the field as you build your applications. Wow, there are a lot of questions. Here's how we've been answering them. Holler if you need help.
Getting Started
As the IEDC rolls out funding opportunities, remember that they are only first step in a long race toward success. Arts & Culture plan implementation is a team sport, and should work at the region, county, community, and even the organizational and individual levels. So, a few suggestions for getting started with plan implementation:

Host discussions and presentations of your region's plan for key stakeholders in each of the counties to build buy-in and early action steps
Begin Implementation & Support Early Action

Facilitate first meetings to start new networks

Host webinars in support of the Arts & Culture Initiative and offer proposal review

Read your region's plan and discuss it as a group

Dive into the information for your county, and add to it

Publicly endorse your region's plan

Start a Coffee & Calendars-like group in your county

Call your peers across the region, convene, and start discussing your region's plan
Economic Development

Invite the creative sector to join you in touring empty and underused buildings / sites to inventory them throughout the county (downtowns and elsewhere) and share ideas for their use

Main Street

Take the Downtown Revitalization Readiness Assessment

Convene key stakeholders to discuss your region's plan and the assessment

Host walking tours for key stakeholders to better know your assets and identify opportunities together
Civic Organizations

Join in when the community foundation, economic development, tourism, Main Street, or arts and culture anchor calls
Local Government

Learn about and explore public policy and funding available to you

Meet with the creative sector to understand its strengths and challenges

Initiative Overview
The READI 2.0 Arts & Culture Initiative is a $65 million statewide investment supporting arts and culture-driven projects across Indiana’s READI 2.0 regions.
The program is administered by the IEDC in partnership with the IAC, and made possible through generous support from the Lilly Endowment Inc. It was developed in consultation with Public Sphere Projects.
The READI 2.0 Arts & Culture Initiative advances projects that:
strengthen regional identity,
quality of life,
creative workforce development, and
long-term community vitality.
Important Dates
While these were copied from the IAC portal, you should not rely on them as definitive. Only IEDC and IAC can provide official dates and deadlines.
